Bread, pie and sixteen sandwiches with names.
Sherry Hunt — the Nana on the sign — opened the shop in 2008, and Arizona Highways has pointed travelers to it since: big, beefy sandwiches, homemade soup, quiche, and five pies baked fresh every day.
The names on the board are half the fun — order the Cowboy, the Mustang or the Buckaroo and nobody blinks. And one name matters most: the Hotshot 19 honors the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots lost at Yarnell Hill in 2013. Fire crews still make it a stop.
